Coast Kjøllefjord exports Norwegian seafood to the world. We are a seafood company that challenges its surroundings 360 degrees in order to create value all the way from the producers of raw materials to the consumers.
The company was founded in 2015, and was then called Nergård Polar Kjøllefjord AS. The construction process started in the spring of 2016 and the facility was completed in August 2016, so in the autumn of 2016 we started buying whitefish.
We have about 20 employees who works all year round while in the main season we have 35 employees. The main season for us is in March, April and May when the main pressure of cod is.
The company buys both whitefish and king crab. All the fish is packed fresh and sent out in Styrofoam. The king crab is sold both cracked frozen and alive, but most of the king crab we have is packed and sent alive. We also produce stockfish and dried cod heads
